Born the youngest of three children to Isaac and Bernice Strong, Elder Strong is a native of Cleveland, Ohio. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a very young age. After completing High School, Elder Strong joined the United States Marine Corps and rendered seven years of faithful and dedicated service. Upon leaving the Marine Corps in 1990, he relocated to the metropolitan Washington, DC area where he now resides. Elder Strong is married to the former Mineva Conchita Satterfield and they have three daughters: Tahira Safiya, Vashtii Jai'elle and Zoeii Faaith.

Elder Strong was licensed in the Gospel Ministry at the Metropolitan Baptist Church of Washington, DC; and later ordained at the Triumphant Baptist Church of Hyattsville, Maryland. Elder Strong has earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in Biblical Studies from the Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary.

In January of 2004 the Lord blessed Elder Strong and his wife Mineva to organize the City of Zion Church in Laurel, Maryland. This is a non-denominational ministry that targets the “unsaved and the unchurched” for Jesus Christ. Elder Strong’s passion is teaching God’s children to “Walk by Faith.”

Elder Strong also currently serves as a Chaplain at Central Union Mission of Washington, DC. This is an in-patient ministry that helps men who were formerly incarcerated, homeless or drug addicted become free from life controlling habits through Christian Discipleship.
