Born the youngest of three children
to Isaac and Bernice Strong, Elder Strong is a native of Cleveland,
Ohio. He accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior at a
very young age. After completing High School, Elder Strong
joined the United States Marine Corps and rendered seven years
of faithful and dedicated service. Upon leaving the Marine
Corps in 1990, he relocated to the metropolitan Washington,
DC area where he now resides. Elder Strong is married to the
former Mineva Conchita Satterfield and they have three daughters:
Tahira Safiya, Vashtii Jai'elle and Zoeii Faaith.
Elder Strong was licensed in the Gospel Ministry at the Metropolitan
Baptist Church of Washington, DC; and later ordained at the
Triumphant Baptist Church of Hyattsville, Maryland. Elder Strong
has earned Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts Degrees in Biblical
Studies from the Maple Springs Baptist Bible College and Seminary.
In January of 2004 the Lord blessed
Elder Strong and his wife Mineva to organize the City of
Zion Church in Laurel, Maryland.
This is a non-denominational ministry that targets the “unsaved
and the unchurched” for Jesus Christ. Elder Strong’s
passion is teaching God’s children to “Walk by
Faith.”
Elder Strong also currently serves as a Chaplain
at Central Union Mission of Washington, DC. This is an
in-patient ministry that helps men who were formerly incarcerated,
homeless or drug addicted become free from life controlling
habits through Christian Discipleship.
